"Like Butter"
I have been putting it off because I haven't had the time, but last week, I finally tested the P770's.

I asked the sales guy at the golf shop to tell me about them. He said simply this, "Like butter".
I grabbed a 6 iron and hit a few in the SIM. I immediately recognized the feeling he was talking about. Its not what you feel when you hit a pure shot with another set of irons, and its not something I could really explain. Its a new kind
of feeling when you strike the ball with these. It
does feel very buttery soft. I also noticed that

the P770's felt a bit lighter than the Srixon's. But, that could be due to the smaller club head size, which was also noticeable. This smaller club head size might give you some nerves, but for me, they looked really good at address and actually inspired some confidence.

I didn't get quite the distance and ball speed that I get with my Srixons. But the ZX5s are known for fast ball speeds and distance. I did get a bit more control, and for me, that trade is worth it. I'm a longer player anyway.

I was able to draw and fade the ball fine. I think there is a slight fade bias in these clubs, but nothing crazy.
And the feel. The FEEEEEEL. This is the reason these clubs are so popular. They really do feel like butter. There is enough feedback, but a flush shot feels soooo good. Again, I can't describe it. Just go hit these, you'll see.

Appearance:
These clubs aren't uh.....they aren't pretty. A bit dull and cheap looking actually. I know that matte finish is a trend right now, but usually there are some shiny highlights and interesting shapes to go along with the matte dullness. There is one little triangle of polished chrome on these. Compared to competitors, these irons are pretty ugly.

Functionality:
Here is where the TM P770's shine. They play really really well. run

Forgiveness? Sort-of. These irons are small. So there isn't a lot of inherent forgiveness in the face of them. But, if you miss the sweet spot by a bit, you aren't punished for it. I definitely wouldn't recommend them to anyone with a 10+ handicap.

Price:
These are definitely on the high end at $1399. But they are quality clubs and they come with a 2-year warranty.

Summary:
If you want "Like Butter" feel, and are willing to sacrifice a bit of distance and have some not so pretty clubs in your bag, these may be what you are looking for.
