This little tool is advertised as a portable launch monitor. And, I suppose it is, albeit a very limited one.

At about $250.00, it is one of the least expensive launch monitors available. But is it worth it?

The SC200 plus claims to give you "Complete swing and ball flight metrics"

I take issue with this statement, because it doesn't give you anything close to complete swing and ball flight metrics. It gives you distance, swing speed, and ball speed. That is it.

Now, if you are looking for a portable tool to give you these three metrics while at the range, for example, then this may be what you are looking for. It is very easy to set up, and does provide fairly accurate measurements.

BUT;

Consider that the Rapsodo MLM2Pro is about $700 and this launch monitor basically creates a simulator. You get the launch monitor and software. I built a sim using this launch monitor, and it is exponentially more useful than the SC200 plus. See review of the MLM2Pro here.

Unless you are a swing coach needing a very portable LM with limited data, save your money. Or spend a few extra bucks and buy a launch monitor that gives you real data, including spin, carry, roll, etc.
